Squad lets a Squad Lead (an adult, typically a parent or guardian) post jobs — rides, babysitting, errands, chores, dog-walking, house-sitting, and similar — to an approved roster of helpers (Squad Members). A simple, read-only companion view (Child) lets a child see who is driving them for an assigned ride. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
From Squad Leads: your name, email address, an optional profile photo, an optional home address (used for a "Home" shortcut when posting rides), the squad and any children you set up, and the details of jobs you post — including addresses you type in, the price you offer, times, and notes.
From Squad Members: your name, email address, a confirmation that you are at least 13 years old, an optional profile photo, the types of help you offer (e.g. driving, babysitting, pet-sitting), your preferred payment method and handle (for example a Venmo username), and — if you offer driving — your vehicle's make, model, color, and an optional photo of the car. We also record your job activity (which jobs you accept, complete, or cancel).
For Children: a Squad Lead creates the child's account. We collect only a first name and sign-in credentials (a username and PIN the adult sets). We do not collect a child's email, photo, or any other personal details, and the Child view is read-only.
Automatically: a device push-notification token, so we can alert you to relevant jobs.
We do not collect GPS or background location. Any addresses are simply text a Squad Lead types into a job.
We do not process payments. The payment method and handle you provide are stored only so a Squad Lead knows how you wish to be paid; any actual payment happens outside the app.
Squad Members must confirm they are at least 13 years old; an account cannot be created without it. Child accounts are created and controlled by a Squad Lead (the consenting adult) and are limited to the minimal information described above — a first name and a login, no photo. If you believe a child's information has been collected improperly, contact us and we will delete it.
We keep your information while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by emailing us. Aggregate, de-identified job history may be retained for a squad's statistics.
We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and database access controls (row-level security). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
We may update this policy. We will post the new effective date here and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
